We are giddy with excitement that thanks to funding from Renfrewshire Climate Action Network (RenCAN), we are able to offer a series of creative repair workshops which will be running alongside our Repair Cafe from October. The first workshop will show how to make cherished children’s clothes last longer – how to mend little holes that come with active toddlers, how to lengthen trousers and sleeves so that children can wear their favourite outfit maybe another few months or even years.
Workshops will be offered free of charge and you can just turn up. The workshops will run from 1-2:30pm alongside the Repair Cafe (which runs from 12-3pm as usual) at the Cargill Hall. The first workshop is on 10 October, run by our Repair Cafe textile repair volunteer Lesley.
Why not pop by and try it out? We’d love to hear what you think and what other workshops you would be interested in!
